SCHOOL DENTAL SCREENING
This screening is required yearly for every student through gr 5, then once between gr6-10. Students can be screened at school or by their own dentist. You will soon be receiving a dental screen form in your child's backpack/ folder. Please complete this form as soon as possible, and return it to Mrs Faella, school nurse teacher. If the screening finds that your child may have a dental problem, a referral card will be sent home. If your child was seen by your family dentist/clinic please bring verification of that visit to school for your child's health record. |
Maintaining healthy teeth not only avoids tooth decay and gum disease (which can negatively affect your health in later years) but plays a key role in digesting food, speaking, and provides structural support for the face muscles.
Proper dental care includes a healthy diet, frequent brushing after eating, and regular dental checkups.
